Learning on the Lawn: July Summer Series

Covid left many of us feeling isolated, and St. Timothy’s is bringing our community back together for some fun ! This July we are inviting everyone to participate in family activities on the front lawn of the church – everything from a movie to gardening, senior exercise and kid’s activities.


Friday, July 2 – 8:30  – 10:45 PM Movie Night: The first offering is movie night with the film “The Sandlot,” a comedy about a group of young baseball players during the summer of 1962. Open to all. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. Bottled water and popcorn provided.

Saturday, July 10 – 10:00 – 11:00 AM Sensational Succulents*: Create a container garden of succulents with Master Gardeners. Cost is $10 per person.  Payment may be made ahead of time or at time of event. *Registration is required here.

Saturday, July 17 – 10:00 – 11:00 AM Composting 101: Composting is mixing vegetable and other organic waste together and to decompose. Composting helps your flowers, garden, and the environment. Learn how to properly composite with our Master Gardener. Open to all.

Tuesday, July 20 –   8:45 -9:45 AM Silver Sneakers*: Let’s get moving and shake off the COVID blues by exercising with Shelia Brown, Silver Sneakers trainer.  If you are already a Silver Sneakers member, the fee is included in the membership; fee for non-members will be $5.00. Payment may be made ahead of time or at time of event. *Registration required here

Wednesday, July 28 – 10:00 – 11:00 AM Wee Movement: Open to all caregivers with small children. Loads of activities for wee ones including singing and movement to music.
