Please circle your calendars the week of June 15th thru June 23rd. We have begun to plan a "work camp" down in Louisiana to assist in the ongoing repair of those whose homes were damaged by HUrricane Katrina. While this work is not for everyone....everyone can involve themselves in a variety of support ministries. This is not limited to the youth group but is open to any adult who would like to be a part of this adventure and of this wonderulf way to show our support.
Workcamp
is open to young men and women who have completed
the 9th grade. The primary requirement is a
willingness to do hard work and to learn new
skills. Reporting back to the parish, the youth
say they find this a richly rewarding and growth-filled
experience during which they learn to greatly
appreciate that which they have in their lives,
while having the experience of a totally different
culture.
