Parents active, or wishing to be active in the life of the Christian church may contact the Rector to plan and arrange for the baptism of their infants or children. Baptisms are especially encouraged at one of the following Feast days: Easter Eve, Easter Day The Day of Pentecost, the Sunday following All Saints Day and the first Sunday after the Epiphany, although the ceremony may be conducted during any Sunday service outside of the Lenten season. Baptism is best celebrated in the context of Sunday worship but may occur outside of Sunday providing that all in the congregation are welcome to attend.
The Rector will meet with the family and godparents of an infant at least once before the service. For children, the Rector may hold three or four meetings of preparation with the parents and child.
Non -baptized adults desiring to become Christians and members of St. Timothy's undertake a course of spiritual preparation leading to their baptism and entrance into the church.
