Services at St. Timothy’s

Episcopalians enjoy meals – especially the communion meal (also known as “the eucharist,” “the Lord’s Supper,” “Holy Communion,” and “the Mass”).  Most public worship services at St. Tim’s include this, each with a particular “flavor:”

Sunday Services:

Holy Communion in the Nave, 8:00 am & 10:00 am

8:00 Sunday – a mostly-spoken and quiet (yet full) celebration, using the modern language, yet traditional format Prayer Book service, affectionately known as Rite II.   Most Sundays this service includes an organ prelude & postlude + a closing hymn, sung by the congregation.

10:00 am Sunday – our principal weekly celebration, filled with music (usually led by choir and organ), also a Rite II service that employs prayers from a variety of resources authorized for use in the Episcopal Church.

Sunday School for Children, 9:45 am

Infant and toddler care is available from 9:45 am to noon each Sunday in the Nursery. A social time with coffee follows both services in the Parish Hall.

St. Timothy’s offers hearing devices to better help  those  impaired. Please ask the usher for assistance.

Weekday Services

Wednesday 6:00 pm

A very informal, “gathered around the altar” celebration in which the Gospel reading leads to group reflection/conversation, then the prayers and communion. [During Advent (the month preceding Christmas) and Lent (the 6 weeks preceding Easter), the Wednesday evening pattern and time may change.]

Thursday, 11:00 am

A relatively traditional Rite II service of communion that includes communing one another around the altar as well as the laying on of hands and anointing for healing.
