What is Clothesline?

In the spring of 2008, parishioner Helen Nwauwa wondered if it would be possible for St. Timothy’s to operate a clothing bank for people in need. Thanks to her vision, the work of our 2008 Outreach vestry representative, and Hope Jarvis, it became a reality a year later. The clothes bank is now known throughout our community as Clothesline.
This special ministry opens its doors to everyone Friday of the month, 9:30-11:00 a.m., and by appointment. No identification, proof of residency, etc. required. Please check our calendar for dates. This timing coincides with the local food pantry (PCU) at Grace United Methodist Church, and free lunch program at Zoar Lutheran Church.
We accept clean, gently used, seasonal clothing and shoes that are distributed free-of-charge to men, women, and children in our community.  Donations may be left in the marked donation bin to the right of the church’s back entrance, off the parking lot.
Each year the people of Clothesline have a Christmas Open House (2015) complete with refreshments.
