Perrysburg Christians United

Perrysburg Christians United, a non profit, community organization was begun in March 1973. PCU is currently made up of thirteen participating churches, with St. Timothy's being one. All programs are financed by contributions and staffed by volunteers.

PCU is involved in the following current programs:

Feed Your Neighbor - Monthly collections are made of food and money from our participating churches. These collections are used to assist families in need from northern Wood County. Each family receives two bags of food and a food voucher.

Lenten Feed the 5000 Campaign - The goal this year for this program is to collect at least 2000 pounds of tuna and canned meat which is in turn distributed.

Perrysburg Blood Drive - In cooperation with the American Red Cross, this drive is held three times a year. PCU members and churches provide phone callers, cookie bakers and volunteers to work the day of the blood drive.

Christmas Toy and Food Project - This program is sponsored by PCU and the Perrysburg Township Fire Department. This past year over 100 families were served with gifts and food. PCU churches collect toys, gifts and crayons and provide Bible-related coloring books for each family.

Crisis Assistance - PCU is currently able to provide one-time financial assistance to help clients facing eviction or utility shut-offs, help with prescriptions, gas to get to work or doctor. Requests are always verified, and payment is made directly to the company to which it is owed.

St. Timothy's representatives are:
Nancy Burton, Laurie Rice and Beth Webb
