Time & Talent

Each member as well as all persons considering membership are encouraged to fill in a Time and Talent Survey. This survey is utilized to match particular gifts and interests with programs and ministries within the church. It is certainly realized that all our members have different times in their lives when they are able to do more than at other times.

Common Prayer and our Thanks+Giving Offerings

Assist with Sunday Worship (After Instruction) by:

Serving as an Usher
Serving as a Greeter
Singing in the Adult Choir (rehearsals held Tuesday evenings 7:30 P.M.)
Serving on the Altar Guild
Serving as a Lector during worship services (limited membership)
Serving as a Chalice Bearer (limited membership)
Serving on a committee to Design and Implement the Every Member Canvas for our Thanks+Giving covenants
Serving as Host/ess for the fellowship and refreshment period following the 10 A.M. Services
Serving as an Acolyte (open to youth in the 7th grade and higher)
Serving on the Flower Guild (limited membership)
Serving as a Sunday Teller

Spiritual Formation, Renewal and Growth

Assist with Children's Ministry by:

Teaching a Sunday School class
Helping with Vacation Bible School
Serving on the Children's Ministry Team (responsible for activities outside Sunday School)
Helping with Special Events for children and families
Leading Summer Sunday School
Helping with the Christmas Pageant or other drama for children
Helping in Nursery
Helping with Sewing needs

Assist with Youth Ministry by:

Assisting with the Planning and Facilitation of weekly Youth Group meetings
Assisting on a Special Project or Outing
Driving and Accompanying youth to Diocesan Weekend Conferences
Becoming a Friend of Youth Ministries

Participate in Adult Educations Opportunities at St. Timothy's by:

Attending a 9:00 A.M. Sunday Adult Class
Attending a daytime "Women on the Journey" series
Attending a nighttime "Women on the Journey" series
Participating in the Men's Group activities
Participating in other spiritual growth opportunities
Participating in a Parent Education Group
Taking the Alpha Course

Our Christian Fellowship

Assist with our Ministry to one another by:

Assisting the Vestry in Designing and Implementing programs to strengthen our Christian Fellowship and Service to one another
Preparing and Taking food to members' families when a need arises
Delivering Altar Flowers to hospitalized and homebound
Participating in St. Timothy's Prayer Chain
Participating in a Men's Prayer Group

Represent St. Timothy's to the wider church by:

Serving as a Delegate to the annual Diocesan Convention
Serving as Delegate to semi-annual Metro Toledo Churches United assembly
Serving as our Representative to Perrysburg Christians United

Our Christian Outreach to Others

Assisting the Vestry in Designing and Implementing programs to strengthen Evangelism and Outreach to non-members
Participating in the annual summer Work Camp (9 days in June for both youth and adults)
Baking and Delivering a loaf of bread to prospective members
Assisting with the Planning and Implementation of St. Timothy's annual Christmas Tea for senior citizens of the Perrysburg community
Assisting with The Habitat for Humanity Project in the Spring on 2002

Ministries of Support

Assist with our Stewardship of Buildings and Grounds by:

Assisting the Vestry in fulfilling its responsibility to provide for the Maintenance of the Buildings and Grounds
Participating in fall and spring Clean-up and Repair projects or grounds work (usually Saturday mornings which are announced in advance)
Doing minor Carpentry work
Serving as a Courtyard or Memorial Garden Angel
Doing minor Painting work
Doing minor Electrical work
Doing minor Plumbing work
Doing minor Landscaping work
Doing general Housekeeping work

Assist with Office Tasks by:

Collating and Preparing Tidings for mailing
Assisting with PC Data Entry
Assisting with large Parish Mailings
Assisting with Calligraphy
Making Posters and Signs and preparing Bulletin Boards
Answering the Phone during staff meetings or if secretary is away

Assist with Communications within and for the church by:

Serving on a Telephone committee (2 times a year)
Writing News Releases about church activities
Video-taping parish events
Photographing church events
Organizing a church Scrapbook

Assist with Special Functions held by St. Timothy's by:

Setting up tables and chairs for special events
Cooking for special events
Clean Up for special events
